Ingestions of small amounts (less then 10mg/kg body weight) occuring less then an hour before treatment are best teated by. i) syrup of Ipecao followed by 1-2 glasses of water, dose for adults and children above 12 years 30 ml. dose for children under 12 years 12ml. ii) Activated charcoal administer 30-50 gm as a slurry in tap water after vomiting stops. iii) Sodium/magnesium sulphate 0.25 gm/kg. in tap water as a cathartic. treat symptomatically.
