Job Summary:
The Warehouse Manager will oversee the daily operations of our warehouse, ensuring that all products are stored, handled, and dispatched efficiently and safely. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a keen attention to detail, and experience in warehouse management. This role is vital to maintaining the supply chain’s effectiveness and ensuring that our products reach customers in a timely manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the daily operations of the warehouse, including inventory management, receiving, storage, and dispatch of products.
- Optimize warehouse layout and processes to maximize space utilization and operational efficiency.
- Supervise and lead a team of warehouse staff, including hiring, training, and performance management.
- Ensure accurate inventory levels by conducting regular stock checks and implementing inventory control systems.
- Coordinate with the logistics team to plan and schedule shipments, ensuring timely delivery of products to customers.
- Implement and maintain health, safety, and environmental standards in the warehouse.
- Monitor and report on warehouse performance metrics, such as order accuracy, inventory levels, and productivity.
- Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all warehouse activities.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as procurement, sales, and production, to support business needs.
- Handle any issues related to warehouse operations, including damaged or lost inventory and equipment maintenance.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in warehouse management to continuously improve operations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in warehouse management, preferably within the agrochemical or manufacturing industry.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory management software.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices for warehouse operations.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Valid driver’s license and the ability to operate warehouse machinery (e.g., forklifts) if required.
